SAP's New Time Tracking Product

SAP HCM Insights LogoSAP SuccessFactors is releasing a new cloud-based Time Management product, over and above what is standard with Time Off in the EC product. It’s an exciting release, so we got together with Todd Asevedo and Paul Meredith - the Time gurus at SAP SuccessFactors - to dig into more details and better understand what this means for customers.

Paul provided a couple informative slides on the scope and roadmap for Time Tracking for us to share.

We also mentioned the Influence SAP program where customers can send in ideas and improvements for any SAP product - Paul and Todd encourage customers to send their ideas!

What would you tell customers who were looking at implementing EC Time Off & Time Sheet in 2021? Will there be a migration tool to be leveraged or will ECT clients need to embark on a new implementation if they want to use this new product?
Thank you for all the information on this podcast!

Hi Sol - I have not heard of a migration tool for this. It's pretty early in the product life cycle, so I wouldn't expect one at this point anyway. Not sure a migration tool would be possible for everything anyway - schemas and rules might not translate over to the new platform's model/methods. I suppose we will have to wait to see about that.

I'm generally in favor of new implementations when making technology jumps like this. It's often very valuable to take a freh look at and rethink how things are done when you are setting in place the new foundations.
